France 24 Français

France 24 Français is the French-language service of France 24, the international news channel of France. The stream carries the audio of the channel, with news bulletins, reports from correspondents around the world, interviews, debates, business and sport updates and analysis of international affairs from a French perspective. The channel started broadcasting in 2006 and offers services in French, English, Arabic and Spanish, aimed at audiences in France and abroad.

As a public international broadcaster financed mainly through public funds, it presents itself as a source of news with a French view on world events, and listeners who want a broad picture may wish to compare it with other international outlets. The audio feed is useful for people who want to follow the news while working, driving or travelling, or who have limited bandwidth. The language is French, with clear and professional presentation that suits learners. This stream is delivered as AAC at 105 kbps, an efficient codec that provides a clear sound for speech at a moderate bitrate and works in most current browsers and on phones. It plays in your browser on RadioKite without installation, and you can add it to your favourites for international news in French.
