Jazz Radio Jazz & Classique

Jazzradio.fr Jazz & Classique plays jazz and classic jazz, from the French station Jazz Radio. The programme presents a selection of well-loved jazz standards, great instrumentalists and vocalists from the swing and bebop eras, and the orchestral and chamber-style jazz that bridges the worlds of jazz and classical music. The sound is refined, warm and accessible, and it works well for relaxed listening in the evening.

Jazz Radio was created in France in the early 1990s and has become a main reference for jazz on the French airwaves, with an online network of thematic channels that cover many styles of the genre. This channel offers a gentle entry point for people who enjoy both jazz and classical music, and it makes a suitable background for dinners, reading and work. Announcements are brief and in French, while the music is international and mostly instrumental. As a commercial service, it may carry short promotional messages. The stream is delivered as MP3 at 128 kbps, which provides a clear and natural sound for acoustic instruments on most devices and keeps data use moderate. It plays in your browser on RadioKite without installation, and you can add it to your favourites for a calm and elegant listening experience.
