El Viejón 91.7 El Salto

El Viejón is a Spanish-language FM radio station on 91.7 MHz in El Salto, in the Mexican state of Durango, broadcasting under the call sign XHCCAX-FM. Public frequency listings describe its format as Regional Mexican, the broad family of popular Mexican styles such as banda, norteño and grupera.

The Wikipedia list of Durango radio stations names Gardom Media Group, S.A. de C.V. as licensee, while the station's listed homepage belongs to Grupo Franco Comunicaciones del Norte, so the exact operator is not clearly established. The El Viejón name is also used by other, unrelated stations in the region, such as one in Gómez Palacio, so it should not be confused with this one. Other details such as studios, staff and programme schedule are not published in the sources consulted.

Listeners can expect a steady stream of Mexican regional music for the community of El Salto and nearby areas. The online feed is a 128 kbps MP3 stereo stream served over HTTPS, compatible with web browsers and common internet radio players.
