Radio X

Radio X is a non-commercial community radio station from Basel, Switzerland. It broadcasts on FM in the Basel region, on DAB+ and worldwide over the internet. This stream is the station's high-resolution feed, delivered as lossless FLAC audio in an Ogg container.

The station has been based on the Dreispitz campus in Basel since 2010. It is connected to the Stiftung Radio X foundation and is supported in part by the Club 94.5 association, whose membership fees help fund it. The programme is made largely by volunteer producers, and the website is in German.

Expect a wide mix of specialist music shows covering electronic music, drum and bass, jazz, pop, hip hop, reggae and dancehall, metal, soul and oldies, alongside talk, culture and society programmes. Some shows are presented in other languages, including Arabic, Portuguese, Turkish and Ukrainian, reflecting the diverse community of the region. Because the schedule changes by show, the sound varies through the day and week.
