WXED 107.3 FM

WXED 107.3 FM is a low-power community FM station licensed to Ellwood City, Pennsylvania. Its slogan is One Community, One Voice, and it focuses on local programming made by volunteer DJs and staff. The stream metadata lists the format as classic rock, although the website says the playlists are not finalised and invites listeners to say what they want to hear.

The station is supported by listener donations, which help pay for electricity, internet, phones, equipment and day-to-day running costs. The owner is not named on the website. Its studio address is on Sixth Street in Ellwood City. The website, wxedfm.com, offers a schedule, community and local business features, event listings and sponsor information, and it welcomes proposals for new shows from local people.

Expect a friendly, locally minded mix of music and talk in English, with a strong community flavour rather than a slick national sound. The online stream runs in MP3 format at 128 kbps over HTTPS. Programme details may change as volunteers join, so the official schedule is the best guide to what is on air.
