Arrow Classic Rock
About Arrow Classic Rock
Arrow Classic Rock is a Dutch radio station devoted to classic rock. It plays guitar-driven rock from the 1960s, 70s and 80s, together with some later rock, and has become a familiar name among Dutch rock fans.
The station is based in Noordwijk in the Netherlands. It began in autumn 1996 as a cable service, moved to AM in 1998 and later broadcast on FM until 2009. Today it is reached through DAB+, cable and the internet. Around 2009 it became largely non-presented music radio, and some presented shows, including a weekly hard rock and metal programme, were added later. Its best-known annual event is the listener-voted ROCK 500 countdown, held in October. Presenter talk is in Dutch, while the music is mostly in English.
This stream is a 192 kbps MP3 feed. Expect long runs of rock classics, familiar album tracks and the occasional deeper cut, with little talk between songs outside the presented shows.
