Bésame Medellín 94.9 FM

Bésame Medellín 94.9 FM is the Medellín, Colombia, station of the Bésame network of romantic-music radio. It broadcasts around the clock on 94.9 FM and online, playing romantic ballads and Latin pop love songs, with a strong emphasis on classic ballads from the 1980s alongside other romantic rhythms.

The Bésame brand belongs to Caracol Radio, which is part of the PRISA Group, and the Medellín station operates from Caracol Radio's facilities in the city. Programming is in Spanish and is aimed mostly at adult listeners who enjoy sentimental music. Directories describe a romantic wake-up show in the morning and an evening programme, "Una Voz en tu alcoba", that plays songs which have endured over the years and are now regarded as classics.

Listeners can expect a gentle, nostalgic and emotional mix of slow songs, with presenters who talk about love and dedications between tracks. The online stream is delivered through StreamTheWorld as AAC+ audio at a modest bitrate of about 64 kbps, which is enough for clear voice and music on mobile connections. Schedules and presenter lists change over time, so check the official site, besame.fm, for current details.
