M80 Rádio

M80 Rádio is a Portuguese commercial radio station that plays pop and rock hits from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, with a strong emphasis on the 1980s. It is aimed at adult listeners who grew up with these songs and want a familiar, nostalgic soundtrack throughout the day.

The station launched in Portugal in 2007 and is part of the Bauer Media group, which owns it through the former Media Capital Rádios portfolio alongside Rádio Comercial, Cidade FM and Smooth FM. The name and concept had earlier existed in Spain, where an M80 station ran in the 1990s and 2000s. M80 broadcasts on FM in many Portuguese cities, including Lisbon, Porto and Coimbra, and is also available online. Its presentation is in European Portuguese, while the songs are mostly in English, with some Portuguese-language music.

Expect a mix of well-known classics, international chart hits and the occasional ballad, with presenters, news updates and listener interaction between tracks. This stream carries the station's programming as an AAC audio feed at roughly 124 kbit/s.
