Žinių radijas

Žinių radijas (Knowledge or News Radio) is a Lithuanian talk and information station that broadcasts news, discussions and cultural programmes. Its slogan is "Žinojimas keičia", roughly meaning that knowledge changes things, and its schedule is built around spoken-word shows rather than music.

The station is on the air across Lithuania on FM, with frequencies listed on its website for cities such as Vilnius (97.3 MHz), Kaunas (104.9), Klaipėda (102.2), Šiauliai (97.0) and Panevėžys (107.9). Programmes mentioned on the site include the morning show Ryto espresso, the talk show Atviras pokalbis and the culture programme Kultūros sunkiasvoriai, and the site also offers an archive, podcasts and video. It also carries a live relay of Laisvės radijas. The website does not name the owner. The language is Lithuanian.

Expect conversation, interviews, news and commentary rather than a music playlist. This listing carries the online stream, delivered over HTTPS as a 64 kbps MP3 feed, which is light enough for mobile connections.
