Retro FM Mérida 103.1
About Retro FM Mérida 103.1
Retro FM Mérida 103.1 is a music station from Mérida, in the Mexican state of Yucatán. It is the Retro FM service of XHPYM-FM on 103.1 MHz and plays pop and hit music from the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s, the songs that listeners grew up with.
The frequency is owned by Cadena RASA, a Mexican broadcasting group. The licence began as XEPY-AM, which received its concession in 1961 and later moved to FM. According to public records, the 103.1 frequency has carried different formats over the years, including a spell as Los 40 starting in 2023, and it returned to the Retro FM brand on 1 January 2025. The station broadcasts in Spanish and its audience is mainly adults in Mérida and the surrounding area.
Expect a steady flow of nostalgic pop, with music from the past three decades and the usual short announcements and station identifications of a commercial FM station. The online stream is delivered as MP3 at roughly 96 kbps, stereo, so listeners outside Yucatán can tune in to the same programme as the broadcast. Details of the current programme schedule and on-air staff are not published in the sources consulted.
