SR 3 Saarlandwelle

SR 3 Saarlandwelle is the Schlager and oldies station of Saarländischer Rundfunk, the public broadcaster of Saarland. The programme combines familiar songs with regional news and information, presented in German in a friendly tone. The stream runs around the clock, so there is always something to hear whatever the hour. Because it is delivered over the internet, it is not tied to a single frequency or country, and it can be heard wherever you have a connection. A station like this works well as an all-day background, and it is easy to leave running at home, in the shop or at the office.

The station belongs to the ARD public network and carries limited advertising. The stream is delivered as MP3 at 64 kbps, a low bitrate that keeps data use small and is adequate for casual listening, though the sound is less detailed than on higher-bitrate streams. This is a low-bandwidth version of the stream. It plays in your browser on RadioKite without installation, and you can add it to your favourites.
