Crime Incorporated

Crime Incorporated is a channel of Pumpkin FM playing classic crime and detective radio drama. The schedule is full of hard-boiled investigators, mysteries and suspense stories from the golden age of broadcasting, with the voices and sound effects that made the theatre of the mind come alive. The mood is tense, shadowy and nostalgic.

The United Kingdom has one of the most developed radio markets in the world, with the BBC, large commercial groups and a growing number of online-only stations, and British radio is heard by listeners far beyond the country through the internet. Old-time radio has a devoted following among listeners who enjoy storytelling and nostalgia, and it makes an unusual and relaxing companion for the evening or for falling asleep. The programmes are in English and reflect the language and attitudes of their time. The stream is delivered as MP3 at 64 kbps, a low bitrate that keeps data use small and is adequate for casual listening, though the sound is less detailed than on higher-bitrate streams. It plays in your browser on RadioKite without installation, and you can add it to your favourites.
