THR Gegar Pantai Timur

THR Gegar Pantai Timur is a Malaysian radio station aimed at the east coast of the peninsula, with the slogan that it is the number one choice of the east coast. The programme is in Malay and combines popular Malay songs, regional music, chat, news, competitions and entertainment segments with the lively style of a commercial FM station. The presenters speak with the accents and expressions of states such as Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang.

THR Gegar is part of the THR radio family of Astro Radio in Malaysia and is directed at Malay-speaking listeners, with local versions for different regions. The east coast has a distinct cultural identity, with traditional arts, a conservative lifestyle and strong ties to family and community, which are reflected in the programming. The online stream allows people from the region who live elsewhere to hear the dialect and music of home. As a commercial service, it carries advertising and promotional messages. The station information does not declare the codec or bitrate, and the sound quality may vary with the connection. It plays in your browser on RadioKite without installation, and you can add it to your favourites.
