SomaFM Dub Step Beyond

Dub Step Beyond is the SomaFM channel for dubstep, dub and deep bass, with a cheerful warning that it may damage speakers at high volume. The selection reaches from the roots of dub, with its echoing drums and heavy basslines, to the sparse, sub-heavy sound that came out of south London and onwards to more modern bass music. You can expect rolling half-step rhythms, deep sub-bass, atmospheric samples and a dark, club-like feel that works just as well on headphones as on a large system.

SomaFM is an independent, listener-supported internet radio station based in San Francisco that has been on the air since 1999 and plays no commercials. Its channels are programmed by hand by people who love the music, and the stream flows without advertising or talk breaks. This entry is the MP3 version at 128 kbps, which works on practically every browser, phone and smart speaker. The artist and title are displayed in the player as each track changes.
