Classicland

Classicland is a Turkish web radio channel playing classical music. The programme offers a continuous stream of orchestral works, chamber music, piano pieces and well-known classical favourites, intended as calm and elegant listening for study, work, relaxation and quiet evenings. The selection is likely to include the standard repertoire from the Baroque to the Romantic periods, with minimal talk, which makes it easy to leave on in the background.

Classicland belongs to a group of Turkish web radios with the suffix land, such as Houseland, Danceland and Babyland, each devoted to a specific style, and operated through the Radyo TV Online platform, which hosts many internet stations from Turkey. It provides a dedicated classical option in a media landscape where most stations focus on pop, folk and talk. As the content is instrumental, it can be enjoyed in any country. The details of the schedule are not published in the metadata, so the programme may vary over time. Announcements, if any, are in Turkish and brief. The stream is delivered as AAC+ at 128 kbps, an efficient codec that gives a clear and clean sound at a moderate bitrate. It plays in your browser on RadioKite, and you can add it to your favourites.
