SmoothJazz.com.pl

SmoothJazz.com.pl is a Polish internet station playing smooth jazz, in a high-quality stream. The programme offers polished instrumentals, light funk and R&B grooves, saxophone and guitar-led tracks and mellow vocal numbers, with a calm and elegant mood that suits offices, dinners, shops and quiet evenings. The pace is relaxed, and the selection concentrates on the contemporary side of the genre.

Poland has a strong jazz culture, with historic festivals and a respected tradition, and this station brings a smoother and more relaxed side of the music to the internet. It can be heard in any country, which is useful for Poles abroad and for fans of smooth jazz elsewhere. Announcements are brief and in English or Polish. The stream is delivered as MP3 at 320 kbps, the highest bitrate the format supports, which gives the warm tones of saxophone and guitar a very clean, full and detailed sound, particularly on good headphones or a home audio system. It needs more bandwidth than typical streams, so on a slow or metered mobile connection another station may be more practical. It plays in your browser on RadioKite, and you can add it to your favourites.
