El Kuino 96.1 FM La Piedad

El Kuino 96.1 FM is a regional Mexican music radio station serving La Piedad, Michoacán, Mexico. Its broadcast callsign is XHPLPM-FM, and it transmits on 96.1 MHz as a Class A station. It plays popular Mexican regional music for a local audience in Spanish.

The station is operated by Grupo Radiofónico ZER, a Mexican radio group that also runs other regional stations, including a sister outlet on 96.1 FM in San Juan de los Lagos, Jalisco. The frequency was awarded in the 2017 IFT-4 radio auction, and the station began broadcasting in December 2019.

Listeners can expect a music-focused format with Spanish-language announcements and station identifications. A detailed programme schedule is not published here, so see the Grupo ZER website for current information. The online stream is a low-bitrate mono MP3 feed of about 24 kbps, which keeps data use small and works well on weak mobile connections. Details such as the full music policy are not published.
