Classical MPR

Classical MPR is the classical music stream of Minnesota Public Radio, part of American Public Media. It is presented under the YourClassical brand and plays classical music around the clock, from familiar orchestral works to chamber music, solo piano and organ. The stream identifies itself as Radio - Classical Minnesota Public Radio.

YourClassical describes itself as a collection of curated streams, programmes and features aimed at moments such as relaxing, working or sleeping. Programmes associated with the service include Performance Today, Pipedreams, SymphonyCast and Composers Datebook, and there is also a children's offering called YC Kids. The wider site also offers podcasts such as Piano Puzzler and New Classical Tracks. The service is run by Minnesota Public Radio, a public radio organisation in Minnesota, United States, and its footer carries the Minnesota Public Radio copyright.

Listeners can expect English-language hosting between pieces and a calm, mainstream classical sound that suits background listening as well as focused attention. The stream is delivered as MP3 at 128 kbps, which gives good quality on most connections.
