1940s Radio Home Service

1940s Radio Home Service is an online station playing music and old time radio material from the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s. Its stream metadata lists the genres as old time radio, swing, big band and jazz, so the output centres on the dance bands and vocalists of the wartime and post-war era.

The station is tagged as a United Kingdom service and carries the name Home Service, echoing the British broadcasting of that period, and its stream metadata also mentions Pumpkin FM and OTRN. The exact ownership and the relationship between those names are not clearly documented in the sources consulted, so they are not described further here. The programming and announcements are expected to be in English.

The stream is a 128 kbps MP3 delivered over HTTPS from asurahosting and plays in any browser or standard audio player. It suits listeners who enjoy nostalgia, swing and big band music or vintage radio atmosphere. Playlists, presenters and a schedule are not published in the material we could verify, so expect a continuous mix rather than scheduled shows.
