60 North Radio

60 North Radio is an internet radio station from the Shetland Islands, broadcasting from 60 degrees north. It describes itself as a high-quality and extremely eclectic mix of genres and generations, so listeners hear everything from indie to specialist music shows rather than a single fixed format.

The programming includes live shows, podcasts and a 30-day Listen Again archive, with older shows kept on Mixcloud. Presenters host specialist programmes such as The Radio Telescope, which focuses on music from here, there and everywhere. The site lists copyright as 60 North Radio and does not publish further ownership details. Output is in English.

The station offers several stream qualities: HD at 320k MP3, HiFi at 256k AAC, LoFi at 64k AAC and a CD-quality FLAC stream at about 1,500 kbps. This entry is the FLAC stream in an Ogg container, intended for listeners with a fast connection who want lossless sound.
