Radio 4 Brainport

Radio 4 Brainport is a local Dutch radio from Eindhoven, with music and news for the Brainport region. The name refers to the high-tech region around Eindhoven in the south of the Netherlands, known for its technology companies, design and innovation, and the station aims to provide a local voice for the area, with regional news, interviews, community information and music. The sound is varied, mixing popular songs with local features that connect the audience to the places and people of the region.

Local radio plays an important role in Dutch media by covering topics that national stations rarely have time for, and the internet makes it possible for people who have moved away from Eindhoven to follow the news from home. For learners of Dutch, a local station offers natural speech with a regional accent. The station is operated independently, and the schedule may include volunteer-presented programmes. It plays in your browser without installation, and you can add it to your favourites.
