Convoy Network

Convoy Network is a Mexican podcast and radio network with rock, classic rock and Latin music. The live stream carries a mixture of music and talk programmes that cater to listeners interested in rock culture, with classic rock from the 1970s and 1980s, rock en español and a selection of Latin sounds, together with discussion shows, interviews and commentary by hosts who are active in the Mexican podcast scene. The tone is informal and conversational, and the programming has the personality of independent media.

Podcasting and online radio have grown strongly in Mexico, and networks like Convoy take advantage of the internet to reach audiences who may feel underserved by traditional FM formats. The stream is useful for Mexicans living abroad and for Spanish speakers who enjoy rock and talk. The content may include informal language and humour. Announcements and programmes are in Spanish, while the music is in both English and Spanish. The stream is delivered as AAC at 64 kbps, an efficient codec that provides acceptable sound at a low bitrate, which suits mobile connections and keeps data use small. It plays in your browser on RadioKite without installing anything, and you can add it to your favourites to keep up with the network's live shows.
