538 Greatest Hits

538 Greatest Hits is a themed web channel of Radio 538, a major Dutch commercial station owned by Talpa Network. The stream identifies itself as "538 Greatest Hits" and plays a continuous run of well-known pop and dance hits and classics from the Radio 538 repertoire, which is built mainly around the Top 40 and music from the 1980s onwards. On the 538 site the channel is described as a blend of then and now, with classic tracks and sing-alongs.

Radio 538 began broadcasting in 1992 and is one of the best known radio brands in the Netherlands. This channel is a digital extra alongside its main programme and other web channels. Presenters speak Dutch where they appear, while most of the music is in English. As a commercial service, it carries advertising and promotional messages between songs.

The stream on RadioKite is delivered as MP3 at 128 kbps, a standard quality that sounds clear on most devices and keeps data use moderate. It plays in your browser without installation, and you can add it to your favourites. Expect familiar singalong songs rather than new releases.
