Capital Manchester

Capital Manchester is a commercial hit-music radio station serving Greater Manchester in the north of England, broadcasting on 102.0 FM and online. It plays contemporary chart pop and presents itself as Manchester's number one hit music station, as part of the national Capital network.

The frequency has a long local history, having been used by earlier stations including Kiss 102 and later Galaxy 102 before taking the Capital name. Capital is owned by Global, the UK's largest commercial radio group, which operates the Capital network of contemporary hit radio stations across Britain. According to Wikipedia, the Manchester service was combined with its Lancashire counterpart in 2019, so some programmes are shared across the wider region.

Expect a playlist of current and recent chart songs, frequent local travel and news updates, and shows presented by Capital's regular presenters. The language is English. The stream here is an AAC feed at about 48 kbps, which is suited to mobile and low-bandwidth listening while carrying the same programming as the FM broadcast.
