Rádio Tropical FM 94.7 Barbacena

Rádio Tropical FM 94.7 is a station from Barbacena, a city in the state of Minas Gerais, with a mixed programme of popular music and local information. The playlist combines national and international hits with news, weather and community items, presented in Portuguese in a friendly way. The mood is local and relaxed.

Brazil has one of the largest radio audiences in the world, with AM and FM stations in every city and a strong tradition of news, sport and music on the air, and Brazilian Portuguese is spoken with a warm and rhythmic character that learners find rewarding. The internet lets Brazilians living abroad keep in touch with the sound of home. As a commercial service, it carries advertising and promotional messages between programmes. The stream is delivered as AAC at 48 kbps, a very low bitrate that keeps data use minimal and is adequate for speech, although the sound is thin and not suited to music. It plays in your browser on RadioKite without installation, and you can add it to your favourites.
