Cultura Brasil 77.9

Cultura Brasil is the cultural radio station of São Paulo, on 77.9 FM, belonging to Fundação Padre Anchieta, a public media foundation. The programme offers a refined mixture of classical music, MPB, jazz, world music and cultural features, with presenters who speak about the arts with knowledge and calm. The mood is elegant and thoughtful.

Brazil has one of the largest radio audiences in the world, with AM and FM stations in every city and a strong tradition of news, sport and music on the air, and Brazilian Portuguese is spoken with a warm and rhythmic character that learners find rewarding. The internet lets Brazilians living abroad keep in touch with the sound of home. As a public cultural station, it carries limited advertising compared with commercial stations. The station information does not declare the codec or bitrate of this feed, so the sound quality may vary with the source and your connection. It plays in your browser on RadioKite without installation, and you can add it to your favourites.
