.977 Comedy

The .977 Comedy is an internet radio channel dedicated to stand-up comedy and humorous audio. It is one of several themed channels that come from the .977 music network, and it carries talk-based entertainment instead of a music playlist. The stream identifies itself as a talk channel called Comedy.

The channel is aimed at English-speaking listeners in the United States who want comedy routines, sketches and funny talk programming playing around the clock. The station's own website is 977music.com. Detailed information about the current owner and exact programme schedule is not published in the sources available for this entry, so none is given here.

Listeners should expect a continuous stream of spoken comedy rather than songs, with little or no music between items. It suits commuting, working or relaxing when you want something light to listen to. The stream is delivered as a 128 kbps MP3 in mono over HTTPS, and it plays in any ordinary browser or media player without registration. Because the channel is a continuous feed, you can join at any moment and there is no on-demand archive or fixed start time to worry about.
