Capital Birmingham

Capital Birmingham is the local Capital hit music station for Birmingham and the West Midlands in England, broadcasting on 102.2 FM. It plays current chart pop, dance and urban hits together with recent favourites, aimed mainly at a young adult audience in the region.

The station is owned by Global, which runs the Capital network across the United Kingdom. Much of the daytime schedule is shared with other Capital stations, with local news, travel and information for the Birmingham area at set times. Presenters, competitions and chart features sit between the songs, and the output is entirely in English.

Listeners can expect the biggest singles of the moment from artists across the pop and dance scenes, with a bright, energetic style suited to the morning, afternoon and early evening. The stream in this catalogue is a 128 kbps MP3 feed that the broadcaster labels Capital Birmingham with the genre Hit Music. It is also available through DAB radio and the Global Player service for listeners in and beyond the West Midlands.
