WALM 2 HD

This stream carries WALM 2 HD in the Opus format, playing choral and classical sacred music. The programme draws on centuries of vocal and orchestral works created for worship and contemplation, including choral masses, oratorios, motets, anthems, hymns and organ pieces, performed by choirs and ensembles from many traditions. The mood is peaceful and reverent, which makes it suitable for quiet reflection, reading, studying or simply enjoying beautiful voices.

The channel belongs to WALM Radio, an independent US web broadcaster that offers high-quality streams of jazz, classical and nostalgic music without commercial interruptions. This entry uses Opus, a modern codec in an Ogg container at 192 kbps, which delivers excellent sound with less data than MP3 at a comparable quality. Opus is supported by most current browsers on desktop and Android, but some older devices, including some Apple devices, may not be able to play it, in which case the MP3 version of the same channel listed on RadioKite is the safer option. You can add it to your favourites for quick access whenever you want some peaceful listening.
