BritCom 1

BritCom 1 is a channel of Pumpkin FM's British comedy radio, run in connection with the Old Time Radio Network, playing classic British comedy. The programme is made up of radio comedies, sketch shows and panel games from the golden age of British broadcasting, with the wit, wordplay and absurd characters that made them famous. The mood is humorous and nostalgic.

The United Kingdom has one of the most developed radio markets in the world, with the BBC, large commercial groups and a growing number of online-only stations, and British radio is heard by listeners far beyond the country through the internet. Old-time and classic comedy radio has a devoted following among listeners who enjoy wit and nostalgia, and it makes an unusual and relaxing companion for the evening or for falling asleep. The programmes are in English and reflect the language and attitudes of their time. The stream is delivered as MP3 at 128 kbps, a standard quality that sounds clear on most devices and keeps data use moderate. The network has several BritCom channels, each with its own selection. It plays in your browser on RadioKite without installation, and you can add it to your favourites.
